Voter registration

**Basic voter registration is required for voting.

 

 

This is the screen you will get when attempting to vote in the Indy Week’s annual “Best of the Triangle”.  Notice that when voting for best bookstore, coffee shop, or best whatever, you must first enter your email address. Then the next screen is as shown above. You must then give your first and last name, and postal code. At this point it is not possible to obliterate or change your email address.

The irony is not lost:  The Indy Week is seeking a fair vote of the Triangle region’s favorite bookstore or bakery, etc., by requiring this level of personal identification. Fair enough.  But I wonder if they are as concerned about fair state and federal elections.
